Presentation to Dr Francis MacnabVocational Service Award 2004/2005

Presented on 3rd November 2004

To Dr Francis Macnab

Each year, the Rotary Club of Melbourne, sets aside one meeting to recognise the significant contribution to our community by an extraordinary citizen.  The Vocational Service Award reinforces the long commitment that the Club has had in recognising the major contribution to society by members of our community through their professions, occupations or specific skills.

This annual Award, established in 1964, is made by the Club to a person who, in the opinion of the selection committee, has not only achieved a high level of excellence in his/her vocation but, through such vocation, has rendered outstanding service to the community.

Nominations for the Award are open to men and women who, in the opinion of Rotarians, are deserving of special recognition in their vocation.

The Club awards a certificate of recognition and achievement and plaque to the awardee.

Traditionally, the awardee is introduced to the Club, presented with their certificate and plaque by the President and invited to address the Club briefly about their experiences and comminuty ontribution.
