Special Events - 2003/2004

The Special Events Committee have worked hard this year to put in place fund raising events for the benefit of the Club's projects.  Although the Committee has organised fund-raising events such as a breakfast near the Shrine on Anzac Day, the Committee continues to search for a signature event that can become a regular and significant fundraiser for the Club.

Members need to know of the significant work being done by the Horizons Committee and other specific purpose Committees in planning for the future of our Club.

February 23rd 2005 is a date you must mark well.  Rotary, on that day, will be 100 years old.  Those who are well disposed to Rotary should on the night of the 23rd February be at a super event, the Rotary Centenary Dinner - watch out for the publicity!

A Healthy Hearts Committee has just started work on fundraising for a major three-year project assisting the Baker Institute to support research into what is a major health issue in the community.
