WOMEN'S SUBSCRIPTION ENTERPRISE - MEMBER SURVEY
To assist us in future planning, your open and frank feedback is encouraged
Our Project
The Rotary Club of Melbourne, in partnership with The Big Issue, has embarked on a pilot project – ‘The Women’s Subscription Enterprise ‘– to help homeless women help themselves back to mainstream life by creating an income. Women and their children become homeless often due to domestic violence and their personal safety would be compromised were they to join the men we see regularly who sell The Big Issue magazine on the street. So, we have undertaken to help them!
We have created a scheme where people take out an annual subscription to The Big Issue, and the women can be gainfully employed fulfilling the orders each fortnight.
Our Challenge - to sell 300 subscriptions to The Big Issue magazine.
How?
- Become a subscriber ($155 for an annual subscription - 26 fortnightly issues)
- Ask others to subscribe - colleagues, friends, family, networks and neighbourhood (particularly those who have waiting rooms or places where magazines are read)
- Provide corporate contacts - for The Big Issue- to follow up
But - to date, this project has been largely unsuccessful.
So, to help inform us on our ‘next steps’, we need your feedback please.......BY RESPONDING TO THIS SIMPLE SURVEY.
It would be appreciated if you could provide your response no later than14th December 2011.
If you have any questions concerning this survey, or the project itself, please contact either Barry Murphy (Ph: 0419-225-455) or James Pullar (Ph: 0417-574-941).
