Royce Abbey Award - 2011/2012

The Royce Abbey Award for 2011/2012 goes to Edwena [Nina] Hunter.

Nina was inducted into the Club on July 20, 2011 and immediately showed her keenness to learn as much about Rotary as she could in a short time  by becoming involved in a variety of service and fellowship activities.

A keen exponent of modern technological communication, she became an active member of the Community Welfare and reception committees and made an immediate impact with her enthusiasm, “can do” attitude and positive and effervescent personality.

This involvement combined with regular attendance at weekly meetings meant she was readily accepted by Club members and quickly integrated into the Club.  Next year she will be assuming the role of Reception Team Leader and be joining the Third Age Committee.

Nina has exemplified “enthusiasm and commitment to the ideals of Rotary”, which is the essence of this Award.
