Selection Criteria - Sir John Reid Community Service Award
The annual Sir John Reid Community Service Award is administered by the Community Welfare Committee of the Club and recognises individuals in the Victorian community whose voluntary community service is judged to be worthy of special notice.
Guidelines for selection of the Awardee include the range and nature of (voluntary) community service, the length and continuity of that service, and the benefit which accrued to the community from that service.
It is usual that the person recommended for acceptance by the RCM Board works largely ‘behind the scenes’ and has not received any other formal recognition.
Nominations are accepted in the form of either a letter of recommendation, or an Electronic Expression Of Interest Form (available by clicking here) from a Club member, an organisation or any other individual.
Recommendations are made to the September Board meeting and the presentation is usually made at a meeting in November.
The Sir John Reid Awardees from the previous three years are invited and hosted at that meeting by the Club.
Closing date for receipt of expressions of interest: 15th August annually.

If you, or someone that you know, appears to fulfill the abovementioned criteria, and would like the Club to consider you/them for this award, please complete the Electronic Expression of Interest Form by clicking here.
