Selection Criteria - Seniors Award
This Award was created by the Rotary Club of Melbourne ("the Club") in 2004 to recognize the contribution of Men or Women, who are 60 Years or older, who give outstanding service in a voluntary capacity to older people.
The following criteria are considered when deciding the successful recipient:
The nominee should -
* be 60 years of age or over;
* satisfy the Rotary principle of "Service Above Self";
* be committed to making a difference for older people;
* be a role model for older people;
* present a positive view and purpose on growing older;
* have hands on voluntary experience in their service to older people; and
* not normally be employed in their role as an advocate for older people.
The nominee need not necessarily be a Rotarian.
Closing date for receipt of expressions of interest: 30th October annually.
